Emily Hewlitt, LMSW (she/her)

Licensed Psychotherapist

Accepting new clients in NY.

Emily is a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) who is passionate about supporting adolescents, young adults, and adults navigating anxiety, depression, OCD, life transitions, relationships, and identity. She has a particular passion for working with women and LGBTQ+ individuals, creating an affirming, inclusive space where clients feel seen, supported, and empowered to be themselves.

Emily takes a person-centered, collaborative approach that honors each client’s lived experiences, identities, values, and individual needs. Her work integrates cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-informed care, strengths-based practices, mindfulness, and motivational interviewing to help clients better understand themselves, navigate challenges, and develop realistic tools they can use in their everyday lives. She believes therapy should be both meaningful and practical, with strategies that feel manageable and sustainable beyond the therapy room.

Emily meets clients where they are, without judgment or expectation, and works alongside them to identify what meaningful change looks like in their lives. Through therapy, clients can build greater self-awareness, confidence, and trust in themselves while learning to recognize and build upon the strengths they already have. Her goal is to help each person feel more equipped to navigate life’s challenges and create change that feels authentic, sustainable, and empowering.
